Taco John's-Manhattan

I am very critical of places where I spend my money, and customer service is very important to me as well as tasty food. I tried this place in November and I was happy with it enough to return 2 xs this month. For fast Mexican food it tastes really good, is seasoned well and is better then McDonald's or Taco Bell for the price. The customer service has been good so far, they are just busy and distracted, but friendly and kind. I have had the chicken street tacos and the tater tots side, it's good for fast food and has a comfort food feel. I would eat here over other fast food places in town and will return.

I had never tried Taco John's before. I have to say I am now hooked on the potato Ole's. I think they are A step above Taco Bell in the originality and taste of their menu items. The store is recently remodeled and looks great. Everything is clean and new and comfortable. The staff is quite friendly and don't just sit around talking when there are no customers. They're working and cleaning and making sure everything is top-notch. I stopped in for a midday snack and liked it so much I went and got my husband and we went back for dinner.

I love Taco John's food. However, last time I went, they got my order completely wrong. My wife and I thought maybe they switched our order with somebody else's based off how badly they messed up the order. That being said, even with the order wrong, the food was still good for a reasonable price (although we paid for 2 large orders of potato oles and didn't receive them at all). They have good Tex-Mex tacos, burritos, and their potato oles are delicious. They are crispy on the outside with a nice soft flavorful center, and topped with just the right amount of salt. I sometimes go to Taco John's just to order the potato oles. They only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review instead of a 5 star is because they don't always get your order right. This last time was not the first time they've messed my order up. If they would improve their customer service, I'd gladly rewrite this review to a 5 star review. That being said, I would still highly recommend going to Taco John's for quick, cheap, tasty Tex-Mex.
