Roscoe’s is the very best of Kansas City BBQ. Burnt ends are tender, the ribs are lean and meaty, the ham has a great smoke taste. Beans, cheese corn and Fries are the best. It is a family ran business and for that the customer service is untouchable. Fast and friendly service. Extremely clean. Well worth the drive.
I called for a burnt end sandwich yesterday and heard the unfortunate news that you had closed the doors!! Best burnt ends in town, no doubt. I hope the closure is only until the corona passes. I respect the decision but will certainly miss that meat and cheesy corn!! Cheers
Quite possibly the best I've ever had. I'm not a big Q39 fan.....I'm a Jack Stack girl at heart. Roscoe's had the best ribs I've ever had. Awesome fries, beans, cheesy corn. Can't wait to go back.
I got the beef sandwich and fries. Meat had a good smoke ring and flavor. Fries were crinkle, which I loved! Portion size was good for the price and service was fast and friendly.
Roscoe's is small, clean, and very busy with customers - at least on Friday for lunch! Burnt ends are only offered on select days, and until they ran out. We got lucky. The bark on them is perfect, and they were the perfect balance between firm (not too fatty) and juicy. The ribs also had a great bark. Most people will love that they are tender and nearly fall off the bone, although they should have just a tiny bit more of a snap. Overall, they were very good. Their half chicken was crispier than it looked and the smoke was flavored throughout. It was very tender. The fries were very crispy. I like when beans have bits of meat in it which these did, although I wish the sauce was a little thicker. The BBQ sauce itself is a little on the sweet side, and also a little on the vinegary side. Both are qualities I personally typically don't like but I actually did add some sauce to my meat (which I always have served dry) - there was something about it I actually liked. Definitely worth checking out. It seems forever of a drive from KC but it's really not that far.
