“Such an amazing experience!! It is in a perfect spot and is such a cute little place. The owners are also unbelievably sweet and so friendly. I loved the breakfast being served family style, with everyone sitting at one table. It really gave us (the guests) a chance to get to know each other. The only issue I had was the trains coming through during the night can be a little loud, but believe me when I say thay this place more than makes up for it. I will definitely be staying here again! It was so nice I even convinced my parents to get a room and come stay with us. So so amazing!”

“My wife and I happen to be staying in the Comfort Inn across the street from Cave City Creamery. We had just finished and outstanding cave tour experience at nearby Mammoth Cave and were craving ice cream but NOT at tourist stop prices. Arriving back in Cave City we spotted Cave City Creamery and stopped in. We could not have been happier that we did. The owner was very friendly and the ice cream (from a creamery in Ohio) was much better than what is usually experienced in touristy areas. In addition to that the prices were reasonable, and the serving size exceptional.”

“The cafeteria style service is not very pleasant for the patrons. Waiting in line for at least 15 minutes almost made me leave. I'd much rather place my order, wait at a table, or at the bar (spending money) until the order is ready. Call my name or number and I'll come get it. The cafeteria line in the stuffy hallway is one reason I won't be likely to visit again any time soon. I order 1/2 slab of ribs and the spicy corn. The ribs were well cooked and very tender but not very flavorful. All of the flavor came from the sauce which was pretty good. There was nothing bad about them but not much good either. The spicy corn was very good. The highlight of the meal.”

“I went in on Labor Day (so kudos to the young man who was working the restaurant by himself). When I asked for a rotisserie-style chicken footlong on whole wheat bread and Swiss, he told me there wasn't enough chicken or Swiss. Unfairly to him (it was certainly not his fault they'd run out), I became a bit ticked off. Nonetheless, he made my sandwich as I ordered it, and I must say it was a pretty good meal. Subway, if you ever find out who the employee was (Monday, September 3, 2018, at 5:30 pm), please give him my apologies and congratulate him for keeping his cook despite my piqued mood.”

“This is my family's go-to spot for a good varietal breakfast. We typically go about once a month on weekend mornings. I love the gravy, my mother loves the rice, and my woman changes her mind often. As long as you aren't expecting exquisite cuisine and also understand the potential drawbacks of a buffet, Shoney's is a definite satisfying meal. Never once had a problem that wasn't easily and quickly resolvable.”

“Bully's is the type of restaurant I refer to affectionately as a "joint" - not big on decor or "atmosphere," but all about the food. The restaurant is a bit small, but clean and well lit. My friend and I got the adult size catfish dinner, and the catfish came with the usual cornmeal coating. It was piping hot, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and not greasy. One of my "test" foods is French fries, and Bully's crinkle fries didn't disappoint. So many restaurants serve fries either lukewarm and limp, or overdone, but Bully's fries were fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was pretty standard, but the cabbage and carrots were fresh, and the slaw dressing had a nice balance between vinegar and mayonnaise. My only very small criticism was about the hush puppies - they were nicely cooked, but seemed rather dense and doughy on the inside. Adult dinners, including the catfish, are reasonably priced at $8.95, and the menu also includes salads, sandwiches and a good variety of sides. Our server was friendly and efficient, and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I recommend Bully's if you want classic diner fare, especially the catfish.”
