“I will start off by saying Wow! Hands down have had multiple experiences at this location that could be described as nothing short of wonderful. First of all the servers keep up with everything quick and professional while still providing a “you’re part of our family” atmosphere. The hostess when approached greets you with a heartwarming smile and seats you accordingly without a wait. The pulled pork potato and nachos are a thing from the heavens. Brisket and shoulder are wonderful as well. The wings are crispy and fresh super flavorful crust. Ribs literally fall off the bone and are juicy and always taste like they came right out of the smoker. Mac and cheese is creamy and has plenty of cheese and the best side I have had is the smoked cabbage which has bacon cooked in it. Haven’t had a single bad experience here and I’ve been about 8-10 times. I’ve tried BBQ from all over and this is one of the top places to stop at for me now. Last part I will touch on is the sauce I love the amount of options they have for sauce for the meals. Love the fact that they leave full bottles of sweet and spicy sauce on the table” super convenient “ they also have a few other sauces in the back such as granny b’s and stinger sauce. I like them all and they compliment the pork brisket and ribs very well. The only thing I wish they had was a solid vinegar spicy sauce for the shoulder. The stinger sauce has vinegar base but it is partially like the creamy sauce. Love the atmosphere highly recommend!”

“I have often stopped here on my travels from Indiana to Tennessee because it's a clean, friendly place that has everything -- gas, food, groceries, pleasant restrooms. This past weekend I stopped there twice, and unfortunately it's not so clean anymore. Fingerprints all over the glass doors, trash in the restroom, the drink station a mess. Please clean it up and go back to being a pleasant travel stop!”

“Stayed at the hotel portion of the resort. It was okay. Our trip was planned around visiting Mammoth Caves which is about 30 minutes away from the resort. The room is moderately outdated but you can tell it's been at least kept up with throughout the years where it matters most, which is the beds/mattresses/carpeting. The beds were comfortable, the sheets smelled fresh and the carpet looked clean. Loved having a balcony that faced the trees and lake - got to listen to crickets and frogs all night which was delightful. Even got to watch some stray cats and skunks wander around from balcony once the lodge area quieted down for the night. The grounds of the lodge area itself were also dated but the overall appearance of it was alright. and tolerable. Pool area was spacious and clean. From a certain corner of the pool, you can see the lake and watch boats go by. The disappointing part of the experience was dining at the Driftwood Restaurant located in the main lodge. They close at 8 PM on Saturday nights which seems quite early for a resort in the middle of summer -- plus there are zero other dining options nearby, you have to drive about 20 minutes before you find something other than fast food. The whole vibe of the restaurant was off - fluorescent overhead lighting, the decor and furniture looked like it hadn't been updated since the 90's and the windows were so dirty, I couldn't properly see out of them. The employees looked annoyed we were there and were rushing everyone to get out exactly when the clock hit 8 pm. We were so turned off by the dining experience we didn't even bother checking out the pub that is also in the lodge area but stays open a little later - didn't want to be rushed through our drinks. Overall, the experience was okay for a couple nights while we checked out the caves but I don't think the $150+ a night price tag matches the experience you receive.”

“Nice sub shop in a strip center. Great team fast service. Tried the chicken Bacon ranch which is cooked on the grill. My wife tried just ham and cheese. I went back tonight and got a club with bacon and oil and vinegar and salt and pepper. I like the thinly sliced meats. I didn’t give 5 stars because it was just kind of flavorless the Turkey breast is a bone white big round piece of meat. The ham was a pink square block. But the meats look good thinly sliced in front of you. Bread was just mediocre and chewy. Just have bagged chips for combos didn’t see any fruit/slaw or salad and serving Pepsi fountain drinks and bottled sodas/water.”

“Watch you back on this station. We were pre-authorized for 100.00, but gas total was just over 90. Normally, our credit card sees the 100 as a temp auth, and the actual amount goes through. Not at this station! If you don't get the entire amount your authorized for, you need to physically go in and ask for it! We were out of state when we finally received notice that the 100 was cleared and not the actual amount. Luckily they worked with us and supposedly refunded the money, but not until they had to verify their numbers were off that day, and we still haven't seen the refund. I wonder what they did with our CC info? So, just beware. If you have a credit coming to you, go in and ask for it immediately, don't wait.”

“My van broke down and the employees at this Shell station basically took care of me and my family of 5 for several hours making sure we stayed cool and had drinks while we waited for AAA and other family to get there to help us. They were so kind and friendly and we feel very blessed to have broken down where we did. These are good people. Will definitely return.”

“After a very disappointing stop in another restaurant in Horse Park, we decided to try this place. So happy we did! Service was outstanding, the food was wonderful, and the staff were all very accommodating! Awesome food for price! We will definitely be coming back, and most likely will be trying the other location, as our server recommended we give it a try on karaoke night and/or when there is live music. What a hidden gem!”

“Huge variety of items. Tried some milkshakes. They were all good, except my husband's- that was more like milk. We tried the foot long corn dogs. They were great. The loaded nachos were also amazing and the helping was enormous! Also had the cheddar pepper poppers which were good and the funnel cake fries, were also great. Over all- descent food. Wish there was indoor seating but at least today was cool enough at lunch with a breeze to enjoy it.”

“I have been a truck driver for 26 years. We are not normally treated very well at the places we go and after a while you just get used to it. I went to pick up a load here and the supervisor Larry treated me like I was a member of his family. I thought maybe Larry was gonna be the only one but no, the entire crew at this place was just amazing!! Should you ever get a chance to do business with these folks consider yourself lucky. So many places claim they treat you like family but they lie!! These folks actually do.”
