This place is a fairly nice campsite. They lied on the website about the length of the pad. It said 60 foot. My camper is only 26 ft. I barely had enough room just for my camper alone and they slope in the back which means I barely had enough room for my stabilizers in the back to go all the way down. Then I couldn't even put out my canopy because of two trees in my way. They need to go around and take better pictures other campsites and taking measurements of all the pads. Other than that we had a pretty good time.

I’ve been in Carrollton, KY for only a few short days on business. Unfortunately, I did not stay at the General Butler State Resort Park but rather just down the road. I did however have the opportunity to drive through the park and spend a few hours there. It is a beautiful place. Very nice and well laid out, nice camping area for RVs, nice cabins for rent and good roads. Beautiful fishing pond/area and some really beautiful views. I do recommend the Butler-Turpin House Tour, lots of history there. Hopefully, should I have the opportunity to come back here, I will be able to stay on the grounds at the park for a few days and broaden my experience here.

Beautiful. Most of the staff very nice. Love the bartender. The waitress very helpful and friendly in the restaurant. Registration person not helpful at all. Did not learn about specials until they were all over and we wasted our money in town. So for everyone staying here they have happy hour 430 to 630 with 1/2 price appetizers that are to die for we had to pay full price and they were totally worth it. Homeade beer cheese with pretzels warmed oh so good. Hot wings that were served with fries hot off the grill.Oh so tasty. Mostly a bourbon bar but had a wide variety of other stuff and the tender would make any recipe you gave him. He was great. So all in all a great experience. I would recommend top floor as the people above walked the floors all night but the rooms were 100% clean. No frills tho but necessaries and frills available if you needed them.. This is the first of my park adventures so stay tuned.

Went for the dinner buffet. Selection was great. Real homemade entres and sides. Very reasonable with a family atmosphere. A regular stop for us. Highly recommended. Definitely a repeat. Children friendly.

Great state park accommodations with a rustic feel. It was a great place to rest after a day long meeting, with views and access to hiking trails. There's even an on site restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other amenities include a pool, ping pong, corn hole and tennis courts. If that's not enough to entertain the kids, the park also has paddle boats and miniature golf.
