The Milkshakes are awesome! We didn't realize the menu had some cool Burger and Fry options (grass feed cow, a black bean burger for my non-cow-eating peeps, and hand cut fries), so we'll definitely be back to try those. We spoke with the owner, Tia, she is wonderful 😊 Before the pandemic, Tia had a bakery in Georgetown, so all the fun
treats on the menu are made from scratch on site. Tia shared some of the great things Cattywampus does, like biodegradable packing, organic ketchup, and decent wages for all employees. We told her about my two kids with Celiac's Disease and she seemed to genuinely consider doing a gluten free day of the month so we can bring our kids soon. The environment is having a bit of an identity crisis but Tia is working on that and the quality produced outweighs what you're looking at.
Everyone probably comes here for the milkshakes and they are wonderful. However, the food is excellent too. I was expecting just frozen and fried chicken tenders and generic fries. No. These were the highest quality tenders I’ve ever seen. It was more like fried chicken. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Multiple staff members came to our table to make sure we were okay. I’m was very impressed.
What a hidden gem! Cheeseburger was delicious and the fries were the best I've had. I'm usually not big on seasoned fries but these were incredible, hand cut and perfectly fried. I had a lovely chat with the hands-on owner about the seasoning that she makes herself. I watched the other customers' food go by and it all looked amazing. Milkshakes looked insane. I just had a regular chocolate shake and it was thick just like I'd make at home. Can't wait to go back and try the chicken and another burger and fries and the bakery items. I really hope they do well because we could eat here regularly.
A solid restaurant. 3.5 Stars.
We had 5 in our party and sat outside where we could watch the pond and people.
Nothing unique about the salads and club sandwich. Fries are excellent.
Kids got milkshakes, but honestly weren’t super-impressed (cookies and cream, death by chocolate). At $15 apiece they are enough for 2 people, but not really worth it.
No bar or beer.
There are better places in Lexington, but if you are at Lexington Green and hungry it’s worth the stop.
Absolutely. To. Die. For! I cannot think of a better milkshake to exist in the world. I had the Blue Monster and could have ascended at the first bite. I believe that every ingredient is completely homemade and the flavor proves the quality. If you're wanting a great place for a sweet treat, don't pass this one up. Plus, when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a nice time by the fountain outside. Couldn't recommend more highly.
