Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

Service was fantastic, waiter was knowledgeable and humorous. Food was served in a very reasonable time even though they had just gotten a bus load of students that took up the entire center dining room, ribs had great flavor and plentiful, was surprised by the amount of ribs for the money, greens and baked beans(wilbur beans) were very tasty too. We will definitely be going back, just wished there was one closer to where we live.

My absolute favorite thing on the menu is their smoked salmon dip. Something in the recipe has changed recently though (maybe it's just the lack of capers, but not sure). It's still good, don't get me wrong, just lacked a little something on our last visit. My husband and I sat at the bar on a Friday evening and had excellent service. The salmon dip and a sampler platter was enough to fill us both up and everything on the platter was very tasty!

Coming straight from NYC this place was very impressive. Nothing like Hill Country. The service was Awesome and Famous Shelly was very Friendly. Thank you for your hospitality. My husband and brother talked about the delicious food all the way back to the hotel. Please don't change! You are the best!!!????????????

BBQ opinions are wide and varied and I like most BBQ joints but Famous Dave's may be my favorite. It all starts with the meats and all there's of tried are excellent; the pulled pork, ribs, smoked sausage and brisket have all been great. I am a sauce fan and they have several variations that are all excellent too.

I strongly suggest trying their lunch specials from 11-5 everyday, you can get two meats and a side for $8.99 which is a great way to try them out. Sweet tea done right as well. Been there many times and will go many more times.
