As someone who has worked in a restaurant in the past, I hate to go into places shortly before they are closing. However, we were starving and needed to eat. When we walked in I asked if they were still taking orders, to which was the most happy response of "of course, the kitchen is open until 10!" from a delightful man behind the bar. The food was delicious- as always- and thanks to the staff, I ate guilt-free!
The whiskey sour was made to perfection. The burger was very good. Quick service and nice people. However I wasn't a fan of the kale salad and the restaurant was very hard to find at night.
Not gonna lie, I was disappointed by the trip here. It wasn’t worth the drive out to the east end. First, we stood in line for around 40 minutes while all the staff (cooks, waiters, cashier taking orders) remained supremely unhurried. The thought crossed my mind that maybe they had run out of ingredients and they were purposely stalling. Not really sure what the case was. Once we actually did get to place our order, the food was brought to our table within a few minutes. The burgers were good but really nothing special. At other places, I can get a burger that is just as flavorful, costs half the price, and is ordered and ready in a fraction of the time. I really am not understanding the hype around Grind and why there were so many people there waiting in line. I probably won’t be one of them again.
Great food..... made fresh... nice atmosphere to enjoy a nice ???? percent burger... More then likely there will be plenty customer's but worth the wait
My wife and I found this after arriving in Louisville and doing a quick online search of the area. When we arrived, we were warned by a very friendly worker that after ordering it would take 20-25 minutes to get our food. Being in no hurry, we decided to wait.
The burgers were excellent. The ends were smashed a bit, leaving a crispy outer layer. The buns were fresh and excellent to each. The fries are fresh cut, not the best we have ever had, but felt like quality.
The ONLY reason for not giving a 5 star review is because of price. It might be that this is a fair price for the area and it is definitely high quality. To get two of the lower priced burgers, fries, and 2 soft drinks (in tiny cups, though refills are free), the total was roughly 33 dollars. It was a good burger and fries for sure, but I feel like I can get equally good at other locations.
That said, we would return but if we lived in the area it would have to be for special occasions. Great food, though!
