Check's Cafe

Met my son for a lunch. The food was good. The people hospitable. Most importantly the atmosphere was conducive to a father spending time with a son. I listened to his future plans for his family...we shared some stories. Pork chop and 2 sides. I would do this again.

I got a Ruben sandwich. Out was very greasy. But the atmosphere and the people were friendly and a honey place. I'll visit again, just order something different. You order at the counter and pay, then find a table and they bring out to you when they call your name.

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The potato salad is homemade and delicious, and the broccoli casserole and fried bologna was the perfect comfort food. Will definitely return next time I’m in Louisville.

Excellent Neighborhood Tavern/Restaurant. Great atmosphere and very Friendly. Food is Excellent , a good place to go for Chicken Livers and a good Balanced Meal.

Awesome! They never disappoint with their fish sandwich and fries. Found out they have an open dining area off the top floor. Did a little sunbathing while enjoying my lunch.
