Beautiful space.
Shoot a wedding here during the pandemic.
Staff was safe and over delivered.
Exterior was lush with floral even though they were renovating.
Outdoor eating was pretty.
Staff was kind and helpful.
My stay was awesome at the Historic Boone Tavern. The rooms were comfy, old-fashioned, and perfect for a good nights rest. I was coming from a long road trip around the southern states, and we discovered the hotel when googling for a halfway point back home to Michigan. The pricing was really cheap for what you got, and it’s a really cool place that reminds me of a grand hotel, like the one we have in Michigan.
Wish our stay would have been longer. But for one night it was perfect!
Truly a historical gem.
This hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff and our room was exceptionally comfortable. The bed, comforter, and robes were so soft and felt luxurious. The historical connection of the college across the street was very interesting and we had a great walk thru the campus. The smell of spring was everywhere. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because the room was a little small and there seems to be confusion with the kitchen on when it’s opened and pricing as well. The rooms have one price for food and the kitchen another. They need to just change out their menus within the room to match the kitchen.
Our room is excellent. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was superb. The swordfish was done perfect and seasoned perfectly. The fried chicken was what one would expect in Kentucky. Tasty and moist. Even the white meat breast was moist. Our server Sam was friendly, welcoming and very efficient.
The greeter was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed a nice conversation with him about the business' history, which is reason enough to return. The food was good, the employees friendly. The service was a little slow (though it reminded me of a lazy day in the hot sun with southern hospitality.......a nice place to be where you can enjoy the moments, conversation and have a tasty meal with good company.) It was refreshing to slowdown, relax and enjoy the experience. I would definitely go again!!
