My recent visit to Bardstown found this little gem from a google search:Local BBQ near me. Went in about 2:30 in the afternoon, was the only one inside. Ordered a pulled chicken plate; came with beans and potato salad ( my choices). Reasonable and delicious. The round pancake was corn bread ( soooo good) the sweet tea, delicious! I told the girl I'd be back sure enough was back the next morning for breakfast;which by the way was very good. Turned out the Biker event I was in Bardstown for, had a dinner event catered from here, peach cobbler, scrumptious!!!! I wanna go back! But I live in Florida!

I have a knack for finding out of the way bbq joints. This was no exception. Saw the grill/ smoker out front just pumping smoke out, took one look and knew I wanted whatever they were serving. (Greeted by a nice old gentleman looked to be late 80s, he was just sitting there resting as we walked in,) and then got service from a nice gal right away. Tried a full rack with some slaw and potatoes...was not disappointed. Awesome job! Cheap prices, great food. My party of 4 was all satisfied and stuffed as we walked out. As we were paying the nice lady told us that old guy was the cook. I thanked him as we left and promised I'll be back. Amazing to think how much he probably knew about BBQ...wish I had more time to pick his brain for some tips. Try it..you'll love it!

The home cooked food here is amazing. Bob does an excellent job with the smoked ribs. My favorite place to go for ribs

Rib tips are big and best tips I've had in long time. Potato salad is awesome too!

A month later I called in a carry out order. Rib tips still good but this time fatty and more bone, less meat. Do not recommend chicken fried steak, very disappointing.
Will try again to get a sway vote soon.
