Southfork Fish Company

Tonight we ate in for first time, we had done takeout few months ago( bad experience), but said we try dining in when safer due to covid. Haley was our nice waitress, she was friendly and did a great job. The cheese biscuits were warm and good, my salad was fresh and the blue cheese dressing was good and not like out of a bottle. My fried shrimp was very good lightly battered and fresh and hot. My husband got the fried catfish, it was fresh but no one here knows how to fry catfish in cornmeal, tarter sauce was very good and tasted homemade. We both got baked beans which was hot but nothing to repeat. They really need a good baked potato on the menu.
The decor is very lacking and needs more local lake interests I.e. antique black and white pictures of people with their catches. White paper on the tables and even fish motif little center piece. Also a screen to hide the doors into the kitchen. Staff should have cute t shirts with a unique design and logo they could sell at a better laid out cash register area.
That said... we will go back and work our way through the menu...
Doing a good job, just work in progress and wish them the best.... take a weekend and go to the Kentucky Lake area and eat at Catfish Kitchen and Willow Pond for catfish ideas...

Great seafood & selection!! Prices are a little high...but worth the quality of the seafood. I definitely recommend.

Went to Southfork on Friday night. The dining area is rather plain and ordinary. Not so with the food and service. We had just spent a week in South Carolina where I had seafood every day. The shrimp Scampi at Southfork was as good or better than anything on the beach. Vegetables were nicely seasoned, not just dumped out of a can. Loaded potato salad was very good and an unusual item not seen on other menus. Our waitress, Angela, was good...interacted well with the customers. Overall, given its "off the beaten path" location, we were pleasantly surprised and would recommend it.
