I had put off visiting Bike Rack Bistro for a while because it seemed wrong to not visit by bike and since most of my riding is done in the afternoon when they are closed, I waited. I finally had a free day so my son and I hopped on our bikes, grabbed a card game and rode across town for lunch.

When we arrived we found a bike rack out front (I'm glad the name wasn't ironic) that sadly didn't appear to be used enough as we had to pull it away from the ramp a bit so the bike tires would fit.

The restaurant is in an old converted house which seemed to work nicely. The host was super nice and very patient while we looked the menu over, plus he informed us that since we biked in the beverage is on the house! We paid up front and decided to eat at a small, two person table on the front porch.

I went with the King of Clubs (minus the mayo) and fruit salad while my son chose the Henry Bain burger and pimento cheese fries. We were very happy with all our choices. Portions were just right for the price and the food was honestly better than I expected (since I ordered a standard club sandwich). The server (which surprised us since we paid upfront) never let our drinks run out.

The overall experience was outstanding, and I would highly recommend riding your bike for breakfast or lunch. Also, don't forget to tip your server, with paying upfront it's easy to forget.

Love the black bean burger! They’re always super nice. We’ve never had a bad experience. Small town, local. One of our favorite lunch spots!

Really relaxing and gives you that hometown feel. I forgot to tip but I’ll definitely double it my next trip there. The servers and staff were awesome! The breakfast was amazing.

Eclectic proven recipes from an experienced caterer. Ya gotta try the fried pimento cheese sandwich with raspberry jam (what a combo). All homemade, all good. I've gone there for 2, 3, and 4-person business lunches because you can talk over any noise.

I was walking by to kill some time this morning before my college class when I happened by this bistro. When I walked inside, the person at the cash register refered me to the breakfast items at the time and so I ordered their $7 dollar breakfast. I seated myself and the food came out shortly after. The food was very good and the atmosphere and mild music was very pleasing. Overall, I would recommend this place to my friends as a nice, quaint little bistro.
