Customer service was great. I truly felt like I was at home. The portions were big for a cheap price and was seasoned perfectly.
I got the 4 fish fillet plate. Comes with fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, and beans. The food came out pretty quickly. The fish fillets were a little over cooked and dry. They take one fillet and slice it long ways down the middle and call it two fillets. So a 4 piece fillet is really 2 full fillets. The fries were dried out. The hush puppies had good flavor but also dried out. The cole slaw had good flavor and crunchy with a hint of pepper. The beans were great and had pieces of smoked sausage in them.
Stopped in on our way to Texas. Saw it off the highway so we decided to give it a try. The food was good, and there was A LOT of it. The establishment overall was ok.... definitely dated and worn. Service was great. The young lady at the counter walked us through the menu and made some great recommendations. Nice for a quick visit and bite to eat.
My husband and I eat here every couple of weeks. Its almost always for the ribs and fried catfish. We get both and share them. They are always cooked to perfection. In my opinion the best coleslaw there is. And the red beans that come as a side are always perfect. The only thing that I have issue with is when ordering through the drive thru. I've only done it 3 times, but will never again. They do not give you the same amount of food as when you dine in. I have been so aggravated and disappointed when I get home and open the container!
You do have to stand in line and choose from the menu there. This is my least favorite way to eat at any restaurant because I feel "pressured" to make my order and move on since there is almost always a line. This is also the main reason we stick with the ribs and catfish and don't venture to try other menu items.
Went there for an 83rd birthday party for my best friends mom. Had the party room. The place had been there a long time so they're the usual wear and tear on furniture and decor.
However, the young lady who took orders and handled the entire party of 28 was incredible. We topped her very well and she still disserved more. The food is surprisingly good. Best pinto beans ever. I'd go back and will, anytime I'm in bossier. Great job gang.
