Time for Papa Nono to get serious. Food talk is serious business. When the Papa gets ready for a sandwich. I only go to one place. And that’s the Bayou Deli. No I don’t go around the world to look for a sandwich. hint hint.

I go where I know I will get the best homemade sandwiches in Louisiana. There sandwiches are named after our very own Louisiana bayous. That’s what I’m talking about. A Local mom & Pop business.

A hard working family that I believe every Louisianan should support. But don’t take my word for it, just look at the pics. And head down to the Bayou Deli in Shreveport, and judge for yourself. And like the preacher says. Amen now let’s eat.

Well I wanted to show pictures of our Cuban and muffaletta sandwiches but all we have left are the napkins. The atmosphere and service is great And we will definitely return

You need to get over to the Bayou Deli and Casserole Shop. My wife had the muffuletta and I had the Cuban, both were delicious. This is a neat little place with good food. The owners are very nice and easy to talk to they've just got a different take on sandwiches and casseroles that are sure to please.

What is better than a casserole for a comfort meal? I purchased the family size Mexican casserole and was pleasantly surprised on how good it was.

I ate on it for about a week and the last bite was just as good as the first. I haven't had a chance to go back, but it will be on my shortlist for some good eating in the future.
