Wine and dine here, they never saw it coming.

Fridays are Louisiana food so it's usually very good. However, last Friday there was only one dessert option and I feel like last year they regularly had more than two. It might be a fluke so I'm still sticking to my 4 stars. It's good food for decent money. Let's see if they keep it up.

The LSU Club at Union Square has once again reinvented itself. The buffet that once fed students at the Union's Magnolia Room has moved across the street and upped its game, today at least.

I intend to return later on a more regular basis. The food is certainly good. Service is a little wanting but I'm sure it will improve.

I didn't pay today so can't speak to cost. Given the quality and the "all you care to eat" approach I am sure it is good value for the price.

This formerly quiet spot on the LSU main campus is now bustling each weekday now that it has moved to an ample buffet service with a wide variety of dishes and fabulous desserts and unlimited drinks of iced tea or lemonade. Dinners can also order off the menu, but the buffet is a better deal. The buffet varies daily and usually has a few different healthy salads, two soups (the creamy tomato basil is delicious), several vegetable options, and a couple noon-vegetarian offerings. There are usually several desserts: the chocolate bread pudding and banana pudding are especially good. The biggest problem with this buffet is the temptation to eat too much. Although this was formerly called the Faculty Club, it is open to all members of the LSU community and the public in general. This is possibly the best deal for lunch around campus.
