City Slice Pints + Pizza

The service and environment is great, however the pizza left a lot to desire. The dough was very soggy, almost uncooked, and had no flavor at all. The pizza we had (file gumbo) relied mostly on the sausage for flavor. It is not expensive and we enjoyed it overall, but if I find myself craving pizza while being around LSU, I'll drive the extra mile to LIT.

The best pizza in Baton Rouge. We are from the northeast and living in Baton Rouge it was very difficult to find good pizza and wings. We don’t go anywhere else but here. We are incredibly lucky to have found this go-to pizza place. The owner and employees here are fantastic!

Let's start with the atmosphere. The place is clean, open, has pool tables and plenty of TV's throughout. The staff were friendly and the artwork on the bar wall was really nice. That's where most of the four stars comes from but...

As for the food...the pizza slice is large, but very thin. Which I'm alright with as NY style is my favorite, but the pizza I had was VERY oily. Don't get me wrong, I love some greasy pizza but not when it's seeping down and leaves a pool before you've picked up the pizza. Flavor was good, but the bottom of the pizza was also a bit burnt.

Bottom line: atmosphere is 4 stars, the pizza is a 3.
