Personally, I think the place was amazing and very beautiful. The restaurant was very welcoming and warm when you first entered. I think the tuna dish I had as an appetizer was delicious among the crab dip. Tha alligator hot dog is a must since the sweet and sour sauce and avocado sauce make it taste so good, in my opinion. The chicken and waffle weren't so great for me. The pineapple cobbler was so good with ice cream, but if you don't like ice cream, it still tastes good. Overall, my first visit was enjoyable, and I loved how nice the staff was to me.

Had an amazing time here! Celebrated a birthday here for brunch, and the atmosphere was so fun, clean and exciting! Waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Enjoyed Bottomless mimosas $20 (not much champagne) spinach dip and tacos. Food was great. 10/10

Passes the vibe check and the food is amazing! Both the chicken & waffles and the shrimp & grits are 10/10; the shrimp & grits are probably the best I've had in Baton Rouge. I also love the beignet appetizer. My only complaint was the bottomless mimosas - they're like 95% juice. I ordered the champagne bar instead so I could pour my own. Make a reservation ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Wow! Not at all what I was expecting! When I say I was very pleasantly surprised with the food and service at this hidden gem, I'm not even remotely kidding! SoLou may be my new local fave!! I'm sitting here typing out this review while one of my dogs is attacking me but I couldn't wait to do a write-up on this place. SoLou has fast friendly service, SUPERB food, delicious refreshing adult beverages, but limited parking. Unless you crave the thick sweltering hot humidity and want to sit outside on the patio, do yourself a favor and belly-up to beautiful fully stocked bar!! The chairs are the most comfortable bar chairs I've ever planted my rear in and you'll always get the best service at the bar! Let me know your thoughts if you eat here! Guarantee you'll have a most pleasant time and extraordinary meal/cocktails!!!

The food here is amazing! I had the Solou Burger without the onions and it was awesome (also the one thing I did not take a photo of!). Appetizers were great - we had the corn dogs and fried cauliflower. Spacious outdoor area. Friendly serve. Clean. Put this place on your list!
