Food was just ok. Better po-boys at other places. Service and staff is good.
Fantastic. Drove all the way from California and It was like the first place I will eat at was Po-Boy Express. I was asking all my family members if they were open because of the Pandemic. Of course they were or I wound not be writing this lol. But as usual the Staff was super friendly and even with a big order no one responded inappropriately. You guys are awesome and just being able to eat your wonderful food was worth my trip. Thank you all, it was delicious!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. If you're in the mood for common fried seafood (shrimp, catfish, oyster) or a Po-Boy then Po-Boy Express is the place to be. They're also one of the best places around here to get fried okra. The tea has a bold flavor and is definitely worth getting as well.
The food is good. Not fresh shrimp and more like popcorn shrimp. My fries were underdone. Overall the food is a tad bit expensive in comparison with seafood restaurants in the area. Idk how they are calculating the food cost but ?
One thing I miss most about moving away from Baton Rouge is the food and this is one of my favorite places. I got the catfish poboy with fries and a Coke and as usual, it never disappoints. The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. The staff is friendly. I definitely recommend this to anyone in or passing through Baton Rouge.
