“Out of the sushi restaurants in Baton Rouge, Wahada is by far my favorite. I've eaten at Ichiban, Tsunami, and Koi, and I think Wahada is the best — in terms of both quality and price. I've probably eaten at Wahada upwards of 25 times. I keep coming back because the service is fantastic (the servers often recognize us and give us free desserts), the sushi is delicious and affordable, and the wait is never long. I recommend this place to people all the time.”

I am typically a critic to chicken salad as it's my favorite food. The variety of choices made my decision hard to make. I decided to get the Olivia's Old south on wheatberry and my daughter had the Fancy Nancy. We split so we could enjoy both. Both were independently amazing. The sides we chose- broccoli salad and grape salad were a sweet surprise for our tastebuds. As I savored each bite I enjoyed the atmosphere. The cute little window with shutters, the scalloped boarder and flower motifs made me feel I was in a hallmark movie. I truly couldn't stop commenting how much I love this place. So to answer the question... I left there wanting to hug that place!”

“Love love love this place! Their tacos are so good; the Street Taco is my absolute favorite taco on the menu. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. I used to come here all the time when I had a big exam and did not have time to cook that evening. It was always so convenient because I never had to wait long for my food and the food was so delicious. I recently just stoped by to grab a quick bite to eat and I was rather impressed with the Covid precautions that were taken all the staff were wearing mask and the tables were being wiped frequently. This will forever be one of my favorite taco spots in Baton Rouge.”

“The complex itself is pretty great. It's large, open and modern. I loved that they had volleyball courts. The food, however, left me disappointed. I ordered the crawfish and corn fritters, which were good but underneath the top 2 fritters some of them were burnt. For my entree, I ordered the jerk chicken, which was somehow flavorless, even though it looked well-seasoned. The chicken came with a sweet potato dumpling bisque, yet the bisque was chunky. I've never heard of a chunky bisque before. Very strange to me. Maybe next time I'll try the tacos, which I think my waiter was trying to subtly steer me towards. Speaking of which, the staff was very friendly. I'd go back again, but more so for the volleyball and not so much for the food.”
