Great Fried Shrimp Po-Boy and really delicious/savory potato salad with a slight kick of heat. I will be ordering again next time I'm in the area.
The 1/2 poor boy with smoked sausage is good but the fried chicken is truly the best. O don't forget the seafood gumbo. A very good eat.
We don’t make it to New Orleans as often as we’d like, so I was devastated to learn that my favorite restaurant had closed. We did some searching around online to find a place to eat, and settled here.
Mostly the food was good, although some dishes were excellent and some were a bit disappointing. The fried green tomatoes were superb. The shrimp creole over crab ravioli was truly memorable. The gumbo was a little underwhelming (needed salt desperately), and the etoufee was just bland.
Overall, I’d rate the place “pretty good” but I think we will continue looking for our new restaurant in New Orleans.
So I went on a Saturday night. Wait wasn’t too long. Really liked the fact that you write your name and party number on a chalkboard so you have a better idea of who is ahead of you. Liked the atmosphere. Food was hands-down amazing. We both had the gumbo. The servers did seem a little stretched out (mine in particular), but extremely friendly!
Oh such good food. Visiting from Atlanta with local host. We had a large crowd (7) but were seated in a reasonable time. The food was classic New Orleans. I had the gumbo and Red Beans and Rice. Wow. I will eat here next time in town. Service was great.
