Rock-n-Sake Bar & Sushi

My husband and I have frequented the location on Old Metairie Rd as we like the location for a date night and we order the appetizers more than one, cocktails with a variety of sushi rolls, it's always delicious. We decided to order pick-up, wanting to give back as it's our favorite spot, we ordered the same with the exception of the cocktails and it was disappointing. Most of the sushi we ordered was with avocado and the produce was brown...on each sushi roll with avocado they were brown. We ordered the volcano roll, not only were the toppings cut in half from what we're accustomed to the avocado underneath was brown as well. Total disappointment, which is one reason I do not like ordering pick-up because you cannot see it and you have to trust the quality....we'll frequent once things return.

Rock-n-Sake is a great addition to Metairie Rd.! I really love their cooked noodle and rice entrees! I’ve gotten several combinations & they have been delicious! I’m giving this review 4 stars because I did not care for their sushi. The sushi chef left the tails on my shrimp in my sushi roll and it was very difficult to peel and take out without destroying the rolls. This is a nice spot to grab lunch with friends and sit outside on Metairie Rd. I’m sure I will be back when I visit New Orleans again soon!

This was my first time at this location, everything me and my wife ordered was delicious!! But these scallops were phenomenal. In my opinion worth the price!!

Great atmosphere and service. Unfortunately my steak was very overcooked and dry, but luckily my server, Josh, noticed the food and my displeasure without needing to even say anything. He took care of it for me and was very apologetic. Everyone at my party enjoyed their sushi and drinks otherwise. I'm sure I will be back and try to get that 5th star on a new steak. :)
