I had a wonderful meal at Saint-Germain. The tasting menu (only option) makes for a nicely paced experience. I felt very satisfied from all the food. It started off with a couple small plates and amuse bouche at the bar, which is a beautiful room with rich deep colors. It continued in the small and cozy dining room with a few bigger plates followed by desserts. I love the use of elements from the garden such as the nasturtium leaves topping the crab and the lovage used in the sorbet palette cleanser. Lots of nice small touches in the meal and the focus on natural wines was a nice change from the usual. The dining room is kinda cute...cozy, a bit eclectic with mid century modern elements. The people were all very friendly and helpful.
Saint-Germain was my first experience of a tasting menu and it was a highlight of my visit to New Orleans. I appreciated the unassuming location and unpretentious atmosphere. My husband and I felt very welcomed, and enjoyed chatting with the bartender Jordan before our first course. The entire waitstaff was energetic and knowledgeable. Every bite was delicious and memorable. I would highly recommend a visit for a special meal in New Orleans.
An exquisite meal from start to finish with impeccable service. Progressive 10-course dinner that starts at the bar. A wonderful experience. Even though the food was of the finest quality, the place is unpretentious and friendly. Unique bites, so different and memorable. Worth every penny.
I had a very nice dinner experience here, and also appreciated the attention to detail and quality of food. I indulged in a couple bottles of wine, which were both fantastic, and really added to my entire experience. I recommend the progressive tasting menu so that a guest can experience both the bar and the dining room. I will most certainly be back here next time I’m in New Orleans.
Oh! My! Gosh!! My husband and I LOVE food and this was one of the best meals of our life! Every course was perfectly designed and only got better the more we tried! If you are in New Orleans and are looking for a magical night, look no further than Saint Germains! I can't recommend this cozy, one of a kind restaurant enough.
