The Shack

Wow! I have lived on the northshore 5 years and have ate at every nice restaurant. This place has some of the best food on the northshore. Every side and entree is fresh and wonderful. Even the key lime pie in a jar was fabulous!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. They have the best burger in the world. I have tried burgers from Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, even Texas...but the burger here is nothing compared to those there. Make sure you add the bacon to your burger. And the skinny fries that come along are perfectly salted and crisped. Another amazing dish on their menu is the BREAD PUDDING. Since I moved to Lousiana I've been searching for the best bread pudding and I found it here. Not even the one from Commander's Palace compares to the one here. Please please have it, even if you're full you got to try it. Leon has always been taking our orders and making our cocktails, he's the nicest person you'll meet. I feel so thankful for their food and kindness. We have been taking our friends and family when they come to visit and they love this place as well.

This place is great, food looked great and tasted better. And the most embarrassing situation I’ve ever had, I forgot my wallet. They only made me wash dishes for an hour. ? joking, I work close so they let me bring the money later. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Definitely coming back.

Food taste great. Hamburger $12 not bad.
A oven baked cheese dish with sauteed garlic and tomatoes with a sweet jelly $11 not worth the price. Over all clean and friendly staff.

Flavor, flavor, flavor! After almost 200 reviews, this is the first time I felt compelled to write the review before I left. The fried cheese is incredible. I had the vegetable burrito and it is a flavor experience all in it's own. The setting is modest. The music is wonderful. The service is outstanding. I'll be moving to the area soon and The Shack WILL BE a regular stop for us.
