Pat's Rest Awhile

I had a fantastic experience, Lauren our waitress absolutely killed it!! Will be back because of her hospitality, the oysters were yummy too!

The weather was absolutely perfect for outdoor dining so we chose to opt for the covered porch area. The outside layout is well throughout with a nice view of Lake Pontchartrain. Our server, Lauren, was polite and friendly. The fried shrimp and catfish platter was delicious! I loved the hush puppies and coleslaw as well. This was my first time, and it was such a nice experience that I definitely plan on eating there again.

Love the atmosphere . Food was delicious and reasonably priced . My only complaint would be I only seen the server when he took our order and delivered food . Our drinks were empty the entire meal we had to grab the hostess to get our check . We tipped anyway hopefully this was just a slip up . We will be back.

Awesome place with a spectacular view of the lake. Sat at the oyster bar for a cocktail (the cajun lady was really good) while waiting for the side bar and kitchen to open. We had grilled oysters, bbq shrimp and shrimp Creole, all which were delicious. The side bar was a cool nautical theme bar with a nice atmosphere until a group of obnoxious men came in waving money at the bartender then started playing music so loudly on their phone you couldn't even hear the music in the bar. We probably would have stayed for another drink but since we had finished eating, we got our check and left. I'd still go back though, it's not their fault people are idiots!

It's so nice to sit outside and enjoy the lake. The charbroiled oysters were yummy. The fresh fish was pompano and needed a little more seasoning but it was still good. The potato salad is something I'll get next visit!
