Jeanie's

We were greeted when we entered and told to sit anywhere we chose. We sat at a table close to a group of folks we deemed to be regulars. The hum and cadence of their casual conversation was comforting and brought back memories of our grandparents. The tall, thin, cheerful waitress introduced herself and asked for our drink order and promptly brought our coffee and Dr. Pepper. He ordered fried eggs, country potatoes (which I expected to be cubed & fried but were actually just hashbrowns, hubs was disappointed but that's on us for not asking) and a pork chop and I ordered fried eggs (could have been a little more done for over-medium), grits (delicious & plentiful) crisp bacon (perfection) and a biscuit (fluffy & large). Service was great, although it took a bit of time for our food to arrive. I chalk that up to how busy the place was and that speaks to its customer service and great-tasting food. We would surely come back when in the area.

First thing I noticed was the owner welcoming you as you entered the door. She went around asking if everything was ok. The food is delicious and well priced. Great food along with great hospitality makes me want to be a regular.

Great place! Owner was present and greeted us with some much goodness. We live in Ponchatoula , Jeanie's is refreshing and the food is so much better than Paul's cafe

The food was awesome as was the staff! This is a must try if you have never been there. If you have been there, well then you already know you must go back!
