“The food is so so good...my favorites are Swamp fries and Alligator balls...so so delicious. The drinks are pretty good too Today (06-18-2022) I had a pizza and it was pretty tasty. They also have swamp tators, meat tators, tators w/other toppings...really really good and omy Lord, the Alligator Cascadia, it is amazing. U should really go, their cook is fantastic and such a nice Lady. It's a fun place, it's nice, it's friendly...go, u will like it. And yes they have pool tables too. Karaoke is Saturday starting at 8pm till midnight. No kids, it's a bar.”

“Update 6/24/22 Stopped by today after reopening. Well guess they have not been back opened long. Full staff of about 8-10 crew members back there. Kitchen looks much bigger than before. Prices as expected have gone up. I can take time away from eating because everything is at best luke warm except my sweet tea that is very cold and just about right on sweet. Corn just doesn't do it for me, fish like I said luke warm i like my fish hot. Hush puppies are pretty good and would be better if they were hot. Hope it gets better with time. But will not be back for awhile.”

“Update 6/1/22: Now live here and food is STILL GREAT! Service was fast, waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Had the cheesy chimichanga while Hubby had his usual enchiladas. All were not only cooked to order (his enchiladas) but hot and good. This is still our favorite Mexican place in town. Previous review from 4 years ago: Food was great! Service was good, but was a bit surprised that we had to wait to get a table for lunch. Not being from this area, not sure if that is normal or not but could be inconvenient for a lunch hour during the week (we were the on a Saturday). Husband had to return his enchiladas as he found the enchilada sauce too spicy. I had the combination plate that included an enchilada, tamale and taco. Mine was served with chili gravy and was delicious! Something we both found unique about this restaurant... it's the only Mexican restaurant we've been to that serves warmed salsa. Or, maybe they were making fresh and it had not cooled yet? Either way, on a cool day, it was welcomed. Was good overall and we will visit again before leaving the area.”

“*this place is only open 10am-2pm! This place has been around for as long as I can remember. A southern Cafe with simple menu options. Soups, salad, sandwiches, potatoes, and a few specials (tacos, hot dogs, etc). This is a place that would have regulars. Atmosphere: open, roomy, plenty of table space. Clean. Very cute on the outside with pretty plants. There is a ramp walkway to the door. The inside is decorated with farm art. Service: friendly but can be slow. I've waited about 30+ minutes for 1 salad and 2 sandwiches on a day when it wasn't crowded (2 other tables). Food: not bad but sometimes just feels like I could have made it at home for much less cost and probably better tasting (some of the food tastes like its from a can). I do like their chicken salad sandwich and southwest salad (although felt like it should have been bigger for the cost- think Dixie bowl size for about $9). You can get a soup and sandwich/salad combo. Location: large parking lot on gravel/dirt with plenty of space. They have a black horse statue on their sign on hwy 171 headed north. Prices: I understand alot of places increase prices due to the pandemic and such. I feel like this place probably had to do the same. I do wish their salads were bigger for the price. Their sandwiches are about $6-9, soups additional $2-5 depending on size, potatoes $5-8, salads $6-9. Overall, I think this is a decent place. The wait for food can sometimes be long and the quality of the food is okay. It's a nice change from the chain restaurants.”
