“Just moved to Lewiston and need a new local pizza place. I walked in and waited for my order (about 20 mins) and you can call ahead. Prices are very reasonable. Ordered pizza and mozzarella sticks - all very hot and very fresh, and reminds me of the pizza (Greek style) from the neighborhood I grew up in. They have a nice, clean area for dining in as well. Quite a few people came in to pick up or place orders while I waited, which is a good sign. I will absolutely be going back there!”

“This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant! Everything is so fresh and hot, and when you order chicken you get all white meat chicken! Nothing looks questionable. The service is spectacular and they are ALL so friendly! The drinks actually have alcohol in them and the prices are so reasonable for the quality of food you get. It's a pretty average price point for the area, but like previously stated, for the quality of service and food you get it cant be beat!”

“My lovely wife Laura and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary at the Orchid restaurant on 9/17/2019. Great service, great food and a surprise finish to our evening. Our waitress, Bridget, surprised the two of us with an incredible chocolate lava cake on a desert plate with the words, “Here’s to 25 more!” circling the cake with a big heart. Although we were stuffed and already had the leftovers from our main dish boxed and ready to go, the cake was to die for. Hopefully, the Orchid restaurant and the two of us will be around to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Whether or not your night out is for a special occasion, add the Orchid restaurant to your list of places to go for great Asian / Thai food including sushi.”

“Seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on this place but we had a great experience. Firstly we did go early on a Sunday so it wasn’t at a “peak” time but our server was friendly, informative and attentive. Pretty good beer selection as well! I like seeing a good mix of local / New England brews as well as what is currently on trend. The burger ... perfect. Very rarely do I order a medium burger and actually GET a medium burger. I choose the grass fed beef, which was tasty and not overly greasy... can’t remember the name of the burger but it had mushroom and bacon on it ... because - well, bacon. Added bonus ... they use leaf lettuce NOT gross shredded lettuce!! Cheese ration was on point, bun perfect and the fries were tasty and salty. We will be coming back!”

“My kiddos and I got lunch here as a way to peak into Lewiston's Somali community on the way through. The decor is a little fancier than you'd expect for a place serving homestyle meals. The appetizers were yummy, especially the crepes, which are a little sweeter than the French version. We also got samosas, which were good but not as good as I've had in a Somali-American kitchen. Similarly, the ugali and beef dish was underwhelming. The ugali was pretty dry. (My kids called it mashed potatoes and gobbled it up, though). If I went again, I'd get the goat & spaghetti, because that seemed like the most popular option among the Somali patrons, and likewise I'd get a mango smoothie. Paradoxically, they did a fantastic job with the American food I ordered for the kids - grilled chicken and french fries, which was on a big sign in the window but not on the menu. The chicken was just perfect - flavorful and juicy. The fries were clearly hand-cut and came out steaming hot from the deep fryer. Go here to get a glimpse into one of Maine's interesting subcultures!”

“We decided to try this place because we were in town for the weekend and it was right across the street from Hampton Inns (which also received a 5 star review from us). The food was amazing!!! We didn't even get to order anything from the entree menu because we wanted to try so many small plate items. We walked out of there so full and even had leftovers. Our total bill was less than we would normally pay for one person, had we gone anyplace else. I wish that we lived closer because there were so many more items that we would have liked to try. You can get several items that they make fresh daily to have as dinners/bread to go or just order a take out order. The bread basket alone had 3 different breads in it and when you think it couldn't get better you try the next type of bread and it is heavenly also. Enough about the food...from the moment that we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly smiles. We didn't have reservations on a Friday night but our wait was minimal. Our waitress Lindsay was AMAZING!!! She knew all the items on the menu when we had questions and was able to assist us with our picks. She was very attentive without being too in our faces. The food came out quick and hot so we were able to keep adding a new small plate selection without taking extra table time from other patrons. In the end our bill was only $45 (we only drink water with our meals) but we gave her a $20 tip because she worked better than if we had spent $100+ and she certainly deserved it. I wish we could stop in and grab something to go before we had back to RI on Sunday but unfortunately they are closed. Keep up the good work!!!”
