Delightful! Make a reservation, if you want the high tea.
Absolutely an amazing experience. Jacqueline is extremely accommodating, friendly, and just awesome! The facility is beautiful and cozy. Most certainly going to be a yearly event.
I love the food and drink. I love the service. I love high tea! One problem: I am repulsed by the decor. It is a total turn off for me. It’s like an old English lady threw up far and wide. (Is the goal to only serve cat lady types?) I know people think women like that sort of decor w/ tea, but not me. Can one get high tea to go or delivered to Jameson’s down the street? Seriously, I’d much rather have high tea in a more sedate and calm setting like a pub w/ dark wood decor where I can relax w/ a book in the corner. Is there high tea for tomboys in southern Maine?
I came here with my best friend during her visit to Portland and I will definitely be going back! The scones were amazing, the service was great, and the place is decorated so wonderfully. Next time I go, I will do the full 4 course tea. We did the walk-in service of curds and jam, but got a glimpse of what others had in their full tiered platters. So delicious! Highly recommend for tea service and a perfect day with friends.
This is a lovely tea room. Jackie is a delightful host for high tea (complete with yummy finger sandwiches and baked treats) or just to shop in her collection of teapots, candles, hand creams and children's tea sets. She has over 100 loose teas for purchase. I adore her selection and keep coming back. I've been a customer for over 8 years. Check this establishment out-it's a tea drinker's heaven!!!
