Pizza and lobster roll were good. Gary's favorite pastrami sandwich was dripping so much grease that my husband couldn't eat it. Looked like it had been fried. We have never seen it made this way before and when my husband started eating it his stomach started getting upset. It should say how it's prepared in the menu description which it doesn't, especially since it's prepared in an unusual way from what people are used to.
Brought a tour bus from our town to the Songo River Queen last week and the restaurants in town we had planned to eat at were closed unbeknownst to us. I called Gary's and asked if they could take 50 people in 10 minutes and they did, even opening a little early for us. Everyone had a great meal and the 2 waitresses did an amazing job. When this trip rolls back around for out town I will be calling Gary's first! Awesome experience and food!
Love eating here. Food always good. Service friendly and quick.
I had a great time here. They had a nice drink selection and the fried fish sandwich was delicious. You also get free popcorn for the table which I liked.
Gary's has a parking spot painted purple reserved for Purple Heart recipients. They have a table set in memory of Armed Service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Need I say more? I don't think so. But I will because Gary's Olde Towne Tavern also has great food. Local Craft beer, great mixed drinks. Awesome appetizers, excellent entrees, and magnificent Maine lobster rolls. So go there and enjoy yourself. But take time to remember our veterans. Gary's Olde Towne Tavern will never forget.
