Practically ignored us after dropping off our food, never got water refills even after asking for more, and she never picked up our dinner plates after setting down our desserts. “Come here for the good local BBQ. Then go international by ordering one of their Portuguese specials. They are authentic, healthy and tasty. Some Portuguese meals can be spicy, so let your waiter know if this may be an issue for you. We found them very accommodating. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The waitress made sure we had everything needed for a nice meal. The food was delivered promptly. Presentation was very appealing, and we really loved the Portuguese meals. They had authentic Portuguese pottery and earthenware that gave us old world nostalgia. Yes come for the barbecue, but then treat yourself to a unique Portuguese dish without the commute to Boston, Fall River / New Bedford, or Lowell.”

“Brought a tour bus from our town to the Songo River Queen last week and the restaurants in town we had planned to eat at were closed unbeknownst to us. I called Gary's and asked if they could take 50 people in 10 minutes and they did, even opening a little early for us. Everyone had a great meal and the 2 waitresses did an amazing job. When this trip rolls back around for out town I will be calling Gary's first! Awesome experience and food!”

“This is a tough one. Our 1st time in a few months ago and we had the best meal! Steak tips and burgers were amazing and everyone was friendly. Then last week we stop in again, excited for more of the same and the wait took hours, the food alternated between undercooked and overdone. Also, for a place that screams BBQ there was very little on the menu. Seems like pulled pork was the only BBQ option.
