Delicious and very authentic Milanese pizza. The crust is light and delicious. The toppings are savory and perfect. Hot tip: sit at the bar and chat with Mauro, the proprietor. He just moved to the US from Italy a couple years ago, and he was super fun to chat with.
This is the REAL Italian deal. My husband had the Margherita pie on the traditional Italian crust and immediately said "this is my favorite pizza in Portland". We loved talking to Mauro and learning about his unique crust that is made with the best Italian ingredients and 5 different healthy flours. I loved that they offered a 9" gluten free crust, and it was delicious. It tasted like real pizza crust. The sausage and mushrooms were fresh, and the sauce tasted like it arrived straight from Italy. We highly recommend.
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and every time I’ve been blown away. The pizza is light and chewy with a slight char. The pizza is so delicious and fantastic that I swear I could eat so many pies. We always feel so welcome here and the wait staff is super attentive. If he’s around the owner is sure to talk to you and make certain that you are having a wonderful meal. Definitely some of the best pizza in town!
We stopped by while exploring Portland. We had the most amazing rice ball. It was so good that we had to go back on our last day in Portland. We also had different salads and gnocchi. Everything was excellent. Service is great. Restaurant is beautifully decorated.
Not a bad little spot - we initially wanted pasta from Paciarino's but they were very busy and the wait there was about 3 hours. The hostess gave me a business card for Pizzarino so we figured it was worth checking out. The restaurant is split in half - there's a dining room on one side and a bar/lounge on the other with raised tables for parties of 2. There is also outdoor seating on the sidewalk. Wait staff were friendly though they did seem to get overwhelmed as the night went on. Service was great and food was great too. I don't know that I'm rushing to go back but I would definitely recommend at least checking it out.
