Kept it simple as we were walking on the nearby trail and had a dog with us. Had some seafood chowder and crab cakes, very yummy. The host with the most and waitress were awesome. Wicked friendly and very attentive.
It has a great atmosphere, a good place to be grab a drink and a snack. When i was there they had some electrical issues and they could not serve everything on the menu but i am sure it's not something normal. Overall a very good place to go in Portland.
Fantastic restaurant and pub that's worth the price uptick.
Atmosphere is great. You can pick to stay on the ground floor, which is a darker pub setting, or go upstairs for a view of the bay in a much-more lit area. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Menu has a bit of variety. I ended up getting the maple duck burger, which was fantastic. Even the salad, which I expected to be wimpy, was textured and full. The seafood chowder is worth it as well... very flavorful!
Full menu of whiskies separated by region and by type. That screams out a place that knows what it's serving, which also means it will have a variety that should please most people. The prices are up there, but you also get a generous pour (about two drams-worth).
I also saw something online that looked like a menu for dogs... which I thought was pretty cool.
Worth a stop!
Stopped in for a quick burger and a beer before heading back to Boston. Great selection of local beer on the menu, and good brunch selection. If you can try to sit outside on the front patio, or inside upstairs for a good view of the harbor.
This Irish pub has a beautifully ambient indoor seating area overlooking the bay. The waitress we had was very polite and did not mind fixing our orders (salmon was burnt), or giving us information about local restaurants (Portland lobster co) and scenery. Their Irish tea was good as well! We ordered the fish and chips (delicious and fresh), salmon (with nut salad), lobster roll (also delicious and plump), wings, garlic mashed potatoes, and onions rings. All of it was very good!
