The Shop by Island Creek Oysters

Some of the best oysters I have ever had. They were $1.50 each Maine oysters and came with the usual accompaniments. The tinned fish options looked great as well. Wine was on tap and the perfect thing to go with some oysters on the front patio.

Absolutely cannot say enough good things about The Shop... atmosphere was perfect, patio was lovely, oyster selection was amazing, ladies behind the bar were fantastic. Even pricing was great! We could have chowed down on another dozen oysters if we weren’t trying to get over to Fox Street. Highly recommend doing a full sampler to try a little of everything... didn’t know just how different oysters could taste from different areas of Maine! Loved the experience.

If you want excellent fresh oysters this is the place to be. And they won't even empty your wallet (except if you can't stop). The ambiance is perfect and the terrace allows you to get some sun in at the same time

This place is killer. These were legitimately some of the best oysters I have ever had. Local, super fresh, not too big, and with a great brine. (And just $1.50 an oyster all day, everyday — no oyster happy hour required.) So good, in fact, I went here three times in the 36 hours I was in Portland, Maine. The last time being right before I headed to the airport for my flight home. Definitely go to here when you visit Portland. The oysters are killer. And do NOT skip the tinned fish.

A fun setting to slurp in some local treats! Indoor and outdoor seating. Chill environment with great decor. Friendly staff. Perfect spot for a date night or out with friends. They have parking.
