The White Elephant | Strong, Maine

This place is a cute little sore with a restaurant inside the store. The restaurant is fairly decent, however they claim the mashed potatoes are supposed to be real mashed potatoes, however they turn out to be instant mashed potatoes. The rest of the food seems to be homemade. The store/restaurant was fairly clean and the staff super friendly and pleasant. The store has a little bit of everything to include kitchen spices and on the other side of the store is a basic convenience store. Overall this is a cute place to stop with pretty decent food and a very decent menu.

It's the best place to go to eat. We visit every time we come to Maine. Love the ppl who own it.

This convenient store has an abundance of room to roam and find just what you want. With a nice restaurant attached through the inside they have created quite a successful business. I've had a lobster roll special at the restaurant and it was delicious to say the least. This was a great experience.

Good! Warm, friendly atmosphere. As organic and home grown as they can make it. With elephants hiding here and there. Drop a star if you're looking for full bar, linen tablecloths and an attitude.
