Cutest outdoor patio with twinkle lights and heaters :) My hubby had the skate fish and is still talking about it. My favorite part was the lemon curd desert- so good! We loved their farm to table practice and appreciated the staff's knowledge and friendliness when describing menu items.

Food was outstanding, staff very professional and friendly. The drive from NH to this restaurant was well worth it. Can’t wait to go again!

We did some research on high-end restaurants in Bar Harbor and came across Salt&Steel.
Salt&Steel positions itself as high end dining, but it still needs to cover some more ground in that regard.
First, our cocktails were a little bit off, my rye & bitters cocktail had too much sugar muddled and my wife's cocktail's proportions were slightly off as well. on the positive side they offered an extensive menu of drinks and wines. The appetizer we ordered - mushroom sprout was delicious and well balanced.
As for our entrees I have ordered pork chops which were cooked perfectly, but the sauce was bottle poured which for a place that poses as fine dining is a no-no. My wife's steak was a little over-salted. Overall we felt like it was a fine dining restaurant want-to-be. Maybe in couple of years it will, who knows.

This place is an absolute hidden gem. Fine dining, yes, but only in the sense that the food is expertly crafted, with amazingly intricate pairings of flavors. It’s not stuffy, and doesn’t have the same trappings of “traditional” fine dining. The seared scallops starter was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, and the salmon main was delectable. Service was excellent as well. This is a restaurant that cannot be missed when visiting Bar Harbor.

What a great new spot in Bar Harbor! Each dish was creative, beautiful, and delicious. The oysters were delicious! We would highly recommend for a lovely dinner spot. The farm to table is too perfect. A full taste of Maine.
