Beautiful space for yoga, dance and other wellness-related events/activities. Natasha and the rest of the Steamy Buddha Community was very supportive and enthusiastic when I presented my Gong Journeywork and Community Kirtan events last year. And did I mention the food??? Amazing!
I haven’t tried the food, so this is a glowing yoga review only. Love the vibe here at Steamy and they are practicing a solid Bikram style program. I still have a lot of work to do before I can keep up with all 26 postures, as I came from a mostly flowing hot vinyasa style practice before. While I tried this range of yoga previously on occasions where I travelled, it was not my home practice until now. So it’s hot. And hotter as time goes on. Take an hour long class if this is your first time practicing with heat. Also, drink gallons of water well before class and long after. The teachers have been kind to me during hot 90 minute sessions by opening a window near the middle, but I hope to eventually build up the stamina to not rely on this. Overall for me the main difference between a flow practice and being here is that here I am balancing and focusing more, but not really stressing my joints or even flexing any upper muscles to the extent that I am used to. So I feel a bit weaker up top but also more centered and clear overall from a meditation perspective. Give it a try and see what you think.
We stumbled upon this place starving after a hike and had the best salmon sandy’s of our lives - sourdough took the cake! Their original chai with milk is beyond amazing and don’t even start with the fresh juice, it’s a big portion and so so fresh!
Best flat bread I've ever had. Great veg options.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and patient with me on the phone. I am pretty particular about my food and asked several questions about different options on the menu and was very happy with the customer service I received. On top of that, I chose the earthy Buddha bowl with a poached eggs added on. I was not at all disappointed, in fact I was very impressed with the balance of flavors and had worried about liking the pickled beets in the dish but absolutely loved them and the rest of the dish. I will go again and recommend this place to others!
