Great ambience, water views, restraint had very tasty food, the original pop over, and excellent service. Make this a stop when visiting Bar harbor. Like Jordon pond with out the crowds and better food and ambience.
Parking can be a little tricky but there is plenty to the right of the main drive or across the street in the gardens which is another great stop.
@AdventureKrewe tip: spring and fall are best times to avoid crowds but this small quaint inn will be an oasis. Give them a try and let us know what you thought.
This hotel made our Acadia stay excellent! The room was clean and had so much character to it. I loved the vintage feel and was happy that there were no ghosts haunting the halls. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever experienced. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was super tasty. Location was stunning. Lovely stay all around!
We came across this at lunch time, and we are glad we did. Try their popovers with butter and jam! Across the street is an azalea garden. Excellent service, too! we enjoyed talking to our server, Lauren. The Asticou salad was great!
Old, quaint hotel so be prepared to not have the usual comforts in rooms, such as TV'S, radios, clocks. All that said, place is very clean and tidy. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and views were lovely. I felt like I had taken a step back in time, so I enjoyed it. If you're looking for the usual line of motels, this isn't it.
I'm borrowing this from another reviewer, get your popovers here! The food was outstanding as well as the service. And the view was incredibly beautiful. I would make a reservation to be safe, but it didn't seem like people walking in to eat had to wait very long. The lobster quiche and popovers with blueberry and lemon curd were out of this world! Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!
