The Village Inn & Tavern

This place is amazing - the duck is always off the chain and the menu is never dull but consistently excellent.

Lovely setting to enjoy our friends and family. The duck was fabulous. Each person tried a different sauce, and each was wonderful. One person had the scallops and loved that dish. It was a quiet night for them, but we loved having a less busy and noisy evening.

Great atmosphere, really good food, and a beautiful view. Have been coming here for many years and we enjoy it Everytime, the duck is especially good. It's a bit expensive for what you get, however, the location and ambiance make up the difference.
My only minor gripe would be that the table cloths are paper, like kindergarten construction paper OVER a cloth tablecloth - the whole place is very warm and traditional and I felt like I should have been given crayons with the menu.
All in all, great place for a nice meal with a great view.

Review of the Tavern: this a great little gem. They advertise 12 hour duck as their specialty and if you like roasted duck you won’t be disappointed. Our party of 4 sampled the menu: salmon, scallops, seared duck breast and the roasted duck. Everyone was very happy and the sides were all fresh and delicious. My only comment is the the duck breast could have been more rare, but I didn’t leave anything on my my plate so it is not a complaint.

Nice place. Our party of 10 got a same day reservation. Everyone enjoyed their meals, including salads, steaks, shrimp, lobster and vegan pasta dishes. A big thanks goes to our server and surrounding staff. She accommodated my toddler with things like a cup with a lid and straw that had watered down lemonade inside. She brought him buttered noodles with the melted butter in a bowl on the side. Awesome.
