Came here with my friends for a drink and a quick bite. Our server Marija was great, she was fast and made our night even better! Food was good and so were the drinks. Will definitely come back!
My wife and I were up from NH and Gypsy Rose was recommended to us. We got to chat with the owner who was super welcoming and friendly as was the rest of the staff. We had some of the best pizza we have ever had. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. Can't wait to return and try more!
Excellent spot to hear some live music, enjoy delicious food and sip a local beer. Gypsy Rose Tavern has a vibrant color scheme with lots of artwork and wood stove. The staff is helpful and provide good service. The specials menu is amazing and their pizza dough is the best around.
A refreshing (and delicious) addition to Midcoast dining. It is so nice to find this blend of flavor, service, ambiance, and value. The French onion soup was fantastic. The wings were traditional Buffalo but with a touch of savory seasoning which elevates them above the mundane. We also tried the wedge salad; while not an original menu item, the fresh ingredients elevated this salad. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, the bacon thick and prominent. And the house made “creamy” dressing is a delightful divergence from the standard. We also sampled, and highly recommend, the sausage pizza. It is a toss up whether the cherry peppers or homemade sausage make this pie exceptional. At any rate, if you would like to enjoy a great meal in a fun environment, GO TO GYPSY!
The wine list is great & adventurous, the food is exceptional- the staff is terrific and the people we’ve met there are ones you want to see again.
