Risotto and Duck were both delicious. Great wine suggestion by the bartender.
We enjoyed an eclectic assortment of Nibbles to start our dinner, every last morsel from 6 plates was fully consumed. Our dinner choices were: Salmon, Haddock, Duck, and and Gnocchi! All were delicious. Bread and wine were exceptional. Service was very attentive. If you can afford fine food and wine in a non traditional setting, you will love In Good Company! We did
I would give five star to any chef not afraid to experiment and innovate. The food was very tasty. Sitting between 7 and 8 can be hard to get - we got table by luck. The food was very interesting and unusual, but mostly on the good side. I wish they can find a way to make it more affordable.
The quality of the food is excellent. My salmon with black rice and mixed vegetables was cooked to perfection and the chocolate cake with raspberry swirl was sinfully divine. The wine list was impressive with over 100 bottles to choose from. But... the five star review here is elusive due to dings on long waits between service and general clutter behind and on the bar. My bar view into the kitchen showed cooks under tight working space conditions. Additionally, prices were pretty steep for what I received, even at the top quality delivered. Could make a good destination for a date night with the smooth jazz playing in the background.
I don't know how many times we have eaten at In Good Company over the years, but each occasion is always special. The food is always delicious, interesting, and beautifully plated. And the service is excellent - friendly, welcoming, and non-intrusive. It is our favorite restaurant and we travel to Rockland from New Hampshire several times a year to enjoy it (and Maine)!
