Henry VIII Carvery

Great little sandwich shop. Specialties are roast beef and Turkey. Lots of combinations, warm or cold. I had warm roast beef with au jus on gluten free roll. Delish

Disappointed. As a southern New England native, I saw a few nice reviews from others who suggested that this place had similar quality roast beef sandwiches to places down in RI/Southeast Mass. Unfortunately, the nearly $10 roast beef sandwich was tiny, room temperature (not "hot" as advertised), and wasn't shaved, but rather seemed like it was cubed making for an unusual consistency. If you're passing by, the rest of the menu looked interesting enough to try something off of. But as a transplant looking for a taste of home, this wasn't it.

Very friendly staff and I'm sure they would have accommodated me if I had been dining in, but I didn't get to try my sandwich until I was about 30 minutes away.

Wicked nice sandwich. Family all ordered something different (roast beef, turkey, and ham/cheese all tasted awesome. High quality ingredients. Clean, counter service place (but highly in Henry VIII theme) perfect for lunch. Great service, great food, "Great Execution"

Reasonable prices and hands down the best meat I have ever had between two buns. The pork was tender, juicy and flavorful, as was the ham. The bread has to be fresh baked because it is wonderful. They have a special oven that they slow roast all of the meats in for hours. They also hand carve all of the meats to order. Inventive sandwich combos and accompaniments make this place a stand alone star.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I stopped here for a bite on my way back to RI and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a warm roast beef sandwich. The meat was perfectly pink, juicy and above all very flavorful. The bread was so good. It held up the sandwich, but was easy to bite through. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich. I will make it a point to come again next time I'm up north. I highly recommend!
