Morrison's Lobsters

My wife and I found this place accidentally a few years ago. Right outside of downtown Portsmouth it is the best kept secret on the island. We recently made the 50 mile trip just for a lunch date!

This is THE ICONIC Maine lobster/steamers-in-the-rough venue. Morrison's dining room is an open (and, when needed, a covered) deck on the harbor. With seafood as fresh as the harbor air and an artist's view of the town's skyline, a meal at Morrison's makes a Portsmouth summer visit truly memorable. While dining on the best lobsters/steamers/bisque, clam chowder and corn the Seacoast has to offer, enjoy watching the rhythm of the harbor - the State Street Bridge in action as the tug fleet works commercial traffic. I have been visiting Morrison's regularly for the past 15 years - it's a NH seacoast summer season "don't miss." Yes, cash only - and, yes, BYOB - this place provides all of the rest to fulfill your craving for that ideal "Maine lobsterbake" meal.

Best place on the Seacoast! Great food and the two ladies were wonderful. They make sure your time at Morrisons’s is worth your while. The view of Portsmouth and the river is spectacular. A truly first class experience!

Just too good! Every summer we can not wait for you to open! We found this place by boat when we used to take the boat to NH, but now we drive as our boat is in FL! Best lobsters around the area and cleanest steamers ever! HALF AND HALF SOUP is to die for ! Can not wait to go again this summer!
