Enjoyed a gorgeous dinner here last night at 1720, proved a true, lovely find. Had the food and service been anywhere, I would have been beyond thrilled...however, pressed into this intimate, historic, cozy setting, it was truly impressive!! Inventive yet tangible food, with fab wine offering. Chef is extraordinary! Left pleasantly happy and satiated. Highly recommended!

1720's tasting menu was such a wonderful experience! The restaurant is very new, and it’s a delightfully intimate escape from the busyness of summer in Ogunquit. Particular favorites were the crab tortellini, duck (even better than I’ve had in Beijing), and the orange cake with strawberry-rhubarb sorbet; but all of the dishes were spectacular! Would highly recommend your visiting this excellent new restaurant!!

I’m a foodie, for sure, and this was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. We decided to go with the tasting menu with wine pairings, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Food was perfectly seasoned, and the wines were smartly paired. I don’t typically enjoy seafood or duck, but these dishes—including the clam chowder, crab tortellini, and duck—were absolutely delicious. If you happen to be in Ogunquit, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not visiting 1702; it has definitely earned my highest recommendation!

As an Ogunquit local, 1720 is a breath of fresh air. Every dish is thoughtful, beautiful and delicious. The setting of the inn is simply charming. I would recommend to all foodies and those looking for an intimate, unique spot.

A truly wonderful new restaurant “1720 New England Fine Dining” just opened. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Everything was really good and well flavored but the duck breast..it’s a must try! Also, they have a really nice wine selection!
In the end, the strawberry rhubarb sorbet with orange sponge cake is the best thing I’ve ever had!
