Stopped at Definitive beer garden on a cloudy afternoon and was the perfect way to spend a less than perfect beach day. Beers are excellent (I tried multiple sours, a Kolsch, and their hard seltzer). There is food there as well and my lobster roll and apple slaw were tasty. Definitely more my style of place to hang as I’m not much for the boardwalk and ending up staying there for several hours and even went back the next day. Derek is awesome! So chill, knowledgeable, and helpful. I thank Definitive for making my short Maine trip awesome!
It's a pretty basic set-up, just lots of covered, shaded picnic tables spread out in a back yard, but if you're looking for just a chill place to grab a beer it's less depressing than a lot of places in the area. The beers are all $8 for 13oz (?) pours, so a tiny bit of OOB pricing but that's to be expected as you're right near the beach. The food left a lot to be desired. The brisket slider was a tad dry, but not the worst thing in the world. The fries were more dry, and I would guess frozen with minimal reheating. They tasted like if you brought home leftover fries for lunch and reheated them in your oven. My only other complaint was that the music was super loud for early afternoon, so we had to yell over it to each other... maybe I'm just too old.
Good sours by the beach nice shaded beer garden with cornhole aswell
