The Boardwalk Grille

Planned a Mother's Day Dinner for 18 family members. The restaurant did NOT set the tables up the way I explicitly asked them to do. Made the group too separated. There was no bread or salad served with the 3 menu choices. We were rushed. Very disappointed. Will not bring a large group there ever again. Later: Despite the previous bad experiences at The Boardwalk Grille we went back to the Boardwalk Grille as it fit our group criteria. This time I am happy to report that the experience was great. Our table was not squeezed up close to the bar filled with people. We had comfortable space. The food was good, and the waitress was excellent! Our family of 8 had a lovely time.

My wife and I ate there twice on our recent visit to Ocean Park. Food was excellent, service was great.

Great little spot for brunch. The interior is very quaint and clean. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful navigating their simple but delicious sounding menu. We tried several things, but my favorite was the savory crepes with scallops. They were absolutely delicious. I only saw after that they are a BYOB so I plan on bringing a nice white wine with me next time I go. Parking was easy, but it was also off season so I can not speak to when the season is in full swing. The only negative I had is that they use romaine as a garnish on their plates or as a filler to give it a bit of bulk. But the romaine is undressed and more or less thrown on the plate. It really does take away from some of the wonderful flavors, the crepe did not have any on the plate which was appreciated. So overall it is just a minor annoyance, but I really enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back.

The service is nice but we waited a full hour to get our starters. It sometimes happen in heavy days, but many tables seated after our arrival got their entrees way before we even started. Sad. Food is good and generous. It's a byow. So many gluten free option, it's really nice and rare.
