“Nice to have her back and the place open again. We have been going to this same location since Jane opened it as Sullie's Pub & Grill many years ago. It was smaller and excellent then and it is much bigger and nearing excellence again, having just opened a month ago. She ran the original pub in a single family home converted into a restaurant and bar. The food was excellent and we brought many a friend a relative to dine there. Sometime, in the early teens she sought to expand the place, ran into a bunch of hurdles, we believe, and she moved on. Then Woody's took over and expanded the restaurant and parking lot. Covid took its toll and Woody moved on, and another owner operated it with the same sports bar atmosphere. It languished when he could not staff it. Now Jane is back in the saddle again. Renovations have been made, the interior spruced up, and a bit of a woman's touch has been added to the place, as well as an Irish flavor to the menu choices. The addition, which was never fully utilized by the interim operators has now been converted to dining space, which I suspect will be fully utilized once the word gets out, the weather improves, and the summer tourist invade Maine again. Our first meals were good, our subsequent ones even better as the opening kinks were worked out. Funny story: my wife thought they messed up her Haddock Rachel sandwich and they had given her a haddock dinner instead. As it turned out, on closer inspection, the piece of haddock was so big, it completely obliterated the normal sized bun beneath it. Last but not least, the wait staff and bartenders are very pleasant and accommodating and Jane can be seen pitching in We look forward to many more IPAs, Margaritas, and fine meals at 38 West. We have no qualms about bringing family and friends along when the occasion arises. We wish Jane and her team all the success and accolades that they deserve. The grill and pizza oven are humming along every time we order - I order online and set a pickup time and it’s always ready and it looks/smells/tastes amazing! Every. Single.Time. Merrill’s Country Store has always been known for the character & excellent service. Now drive the extra couple miles to pick up the food. It’s worth it and you won’t regret your choice.”

“The staff there we're really nice. Unfortunately my red bull was made with way too much Torani. I went back in and another staff re made it, no hesitation which was great but this time the person put the red bull in before the ice which makes it flat. The worst part was that the cups had a really bad onion odor so I ended up throwing it out.”

“I really wanted to like this diner because it reminds me of 50s and 60s style diners. I enjoyed the background music, mostly oldies rock. The diner was clean, nicely appointed and comfortable seating. Our server was super nice and very accommodating. We started with a potato skins appetizer that were disappointing at best. The dominant taste was cooking oil. My friends both had onion burgers that they said were good. I chose chicken tenders with fries & pickled beets. Once again, the overwhelming taste of the fries & chicken tenders was cooking oil. The cooking oil could be smelled on my fingers well after I'd finished my meal. My suggestion, avoid any fried foods here. Otherwise it seems the food is pretty good.”

“The milkroom is a family owned business and has an amazing staff who really care about their customers. the food is always good and they have almost anything you could need as far as goods are concerned. They make you feel welcome and warm and they make many different items from scratch including cookies, brownies, finger sandwiches, chop suey, and shepards pie and many many more. They also have a deli where you can pick up a pizza, subs, fried foods, and have an amazing steak and cheese sandwich. love love love the milkroom”

“I have been to Woody's a few times now and have liked everything that I have had. the buffalo chicken wrap is one of my top favorites, and they also have a really good taco salad. You can tell that they're using quality, fresh ingredients. If you're not looking for food, they also have a bar smack in the middle of the place. Last bonus, they always have the local games on.”
