Clam chowder was not bad . Lobster was really good. My older parents were able to share a lobster dinner at no extra charge. Stopped by due to all the cars that seem to keep this place busy.
The food is outstanding, the service is always outstanding and the staff is exceptional. We just returned back home after spending 4 days in York and Billy's is always the first place we eat at. We had lunch once, and dinner twice. Glad we got to you Chris, and I hope you continue to recover from your back surgery. Always enjoy seeing you and your staff.
This is a great place to visit for dinner but also for drinks. The bar is laid out perfectly and seats tons of people, yet the bartenders can see everyone. I found the bar service to be splendid. Hardworking ladies who were friendly and attentive to their patrons. The views are also very nice, as you are on the marshes and this business is like an island on Mile Road—all alone, which makes it kinda cool too. Popular spot for locals and tourists in the summer. Great seafood dinners here.
We walked from our hotel to this restaurant for dinner. The parking lot seems out of control with valet parking and cars trying to turn in and backed up onto the main roadway. It was definitely the right choice if you don't mind walking!
We were seated at a nice table by a window overlooking the marsh. Our waitress Brandy was super nice and apologized for keeping us waiting (like 30 seconds!!) We ordered a basket of onion rings as an appetizer and my husband got a cup of clam chowder. Onion rings were delicious and perfectly done. The clam chowder was 'ok'...a bit watery looking and not up to the standards of other chowders my husband gets when in Maine or at Cape Cod. We each ordered off the specials...my husband got the swordfish with garden salsa, rice and green beans. I ordered the baked haddock with garlic and herbs, baked potato and green beans. Both our meals were delicious. We liked that they offer you the choice of 2 sides...thereby skipping the French fries that always seem to be the side with seafood. The green beans were surprisingly fabulous... perfect texture, great taste. We would definitely return in the future although will skip the clam chowder next time.
Keep up the good work, Brandy!
