We went on a Sunday and they were very busy, and looked to be a bit shorthanded. They were also out of a lot of menu items, probably because they were so busy. We prefer vegetarian meals, but nothing was available on the Sunday morning menu, so we asked if we could get the veggie burger anyhow. We got a quick, NO! While the overall experience was ok, the bartender working would get a 5 star for her ability to work such a large busy crowd, and keep everyone in drinks. We would go again, and hopefully it will not be as crazy.
Had my worst meal here, since I started coming here, tonight. Carried out. Ordered the fish and chips. The fish consisted of thin slices of some fish I couldn't recognize smothered in what could only have been Bisquick. No flavor whatsoever. The breading was so thick I didn't think it actually had any fish in it, but that's when I pulled apart the clump of deep fried Bisquick and found the micro thin layer of fish. I've had the fish and chips here twice before, and it was good, not great, but good. Tonight was a travesty. I threw it...along with the flavorless scraps of fries (I think they were the bottom of the bin, instead of making fresh just give it to the carryout order, they won't know until they get home) in the trash. The crabby tots were good. The fish tacos were good. 2 stars off for the bad fish and chips and the sticking it to the carryout customer who likely won't come back to complain.
A great place. I liked the bar and the music and the service was excellent. We had a large group and the management went out of there way to accommodate us - moving tables and chairs and allowing us to be a nescience without once complaining. Plus our waitress was extremely nice and efficient. Also the band was great. Loved "Prowler".
Server warm friendly and welcoming Menu has surprising variety. Had the pulled pork which was good (not fantastic). Kitchen was backed up so food came a little slow but server was very attentive which goes a long way. Plan to definitely go back again to try some other items.
We have an annual tradition to meet a friend for dinner & drinks around New Year's and the #roadhouse is the perfect location. Good locally brewed beer, good food, good friends, good times. Thanks Rams Head!
