This place is a hole in the wall gem without being a hole in the wall. It's hard to find unless you pay attention. The food is really unique and good. The beer, wine, cocktails are also very unique- beers that taste like coffee and chocolate! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed and the staff is super friendly.
Both the food and drinks are top notch! The pizza is terrific!!! Until you've been there it is a little tough to find. Look for the Fox sign on Main Street (just up the hill from Chick and Ruth's same side) and then head downstairs. Not handicapped accessible unless there is an unpublicized back entrance.
Boy was this a pleasant surprise! The entrance is just a door to stairs and a basement bar. On the weekends there is often a line with young adults, so I assumed the Fox was just a cheap drinks place. Boy was I wrong! We met friends there on a Monday night. We got to the bottom of the stairs and were stunned, it was a nice and new casual decor, a wood fired pizza oven, just a very nice bar and restaurant. They had craft beers and a full menu with specialty pizzas. The had a wide range of pizzas, but many other items on the menu. Not just diner food, a higher quality set of dishes. I highly recommend this place for a drink and dinner.
Fantastic find in downtown Annapolis! We almost walked right by, so glad my son spotted the entrance. Delicious pizzas, salads & small plates. And the bourbon selection is amazing. Our server was great, very attentive & helpful. This may be our new favorite place!
Been a handful of times and each time it's been a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is enjoyable from the entryway leading down into the "den". The food is small fare from appetizers to outstanding pizza and their drink selection is extensive. Plenty of wines to choose from as well as beer selections and whiskies. The den can be loud depending on where you are within but it was never so much to detract from the experience as a whole. Very relaxing, definitely going back and getting their Pig Wings again!
